Do you need a convenient and reliable way to manage your birth control prescriptions?
Birth control, also known as contraception, refers to methods or devices used to prevent pregnancy. There are various types of birth control available, each with its own mechanism of action and effectiveness.
What are the different types of birth control?
Birth control methods include hormonal methods (pills, patches, rings, injections, implants), barrier methods (condoms, diaphragms, sponges), intrauterine devices (IUDs), and sterilization.
How does birth control work?
Hormonal methods prevent pregnancy by suppressing ovulation or thickening cervical mucus. Barrier methods physically block sperm from reaching the egg. IUDs prevent fertilization or implantation, and sterilization permanently prevents pregnancy.
