Why I am giving free healthcare for every artist in New York

Artists bring life to our world, yet many can't afford basic healthcare. We're changing that—free healthcare for every artist in NY.

My daughter dances to Chappell Roan’s music in our living room almost every night. Her laughter, her joy—it’s infectious. It’s the kind of moment that reminds me why art matters so much.

But here’s the surprising truth: many of the artists who inspire us—who move us to dance, to feel, to dream—can’t afford something as basic as a visit to the doctor.

That ends today—starting right here in New York.

Well Revolution is proud to offer free healthcare advice and treatment plans to every artist in New York State.

If you’re making an impact in your community, you should never have to pay just to talk to a doctor.

Artists only pay if they need a prescription. And for those who need ongoing care, our $29/month unlimited plan is here to make sure healthcare is finally affordable for all New York’s artists.

Why This Matters

New York is home to one of the largest artistic communities in the country. According to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), 3.3% of New York State’s labor force identifies as artists—nearly double the national average. They aren’t just cultural contributors—they’re a part of our state’s identity.

Yet too many artists face barriers to basic healthcare. They work unpredictable hours, travel frequently, and often don’t have employer-provided benefits. That’s why so many go without care, and it’s unacceptable.

If the people who inspire us can’t stay healthy, they can’t keep creating.

So we’re stepping up. As a provider group based right here in Brooklyn, New York we’re removing every barrier standing between New York’s artists and the care they deserve.

Who We Are & How We Got Here

I’m a Medical Director and the founder of Well Revolution based in New York. We started as a small group of healthcare providers who saw the rising cost of care in America and said, “This is our responsibility.” We knew it wasn’t enough to just work in a broken system—we had to fix it.

What started as a mission to lower healthcare costs grew into a nationwide movement who believe healthcare should be simple, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

And we didn’t stop there. Independent pharmacists saw what we were building and joined our Well network to make drug pricing actually affordable. Because we know it’s not just about seeing a doctor—it’s about making sure people can afford the treatment they need.

I personally gave healthcare to the 1%. Let me tell you that it is very different to how the rest of us get healthcare. And now, we’re perfectly positioned to bring healthcare to a level that, up until now, only the ultra-wealthy had access to.

We’ve made healthcare as easy as sending a text. No waiting rooms. No long forms. Just text us, and you’re connected to a doctor who’s ready to help. Because getting healthcare shouldn’t be confusing and complicated—it should be simple and certain.

The Pushback & Why It’s Wrong

Whenever we talk about making healthcare affordable, we hear the same tired argument: “They need to just get a job with benefits.” That mindset is dismissive and wrong.

Artists are workers. Their work has value, just like a mechanic, a teacher, or a nurse. Their health matters. And no one should have to choose between creating art and getting healthcare.

That’s why we’re stepping up.

Designed for Artists, Built for Their Lives

Artists have unique healthcare needs:

  • They travel constantly—so they need care that works in every state.
  • They work unpredictable hours—so they need better access, not just a doctor’s office that closes at 5 PM.
  • They need continuity—not a revolving door of urgent care visits.

So we built a system that works for them:

  • Nationwide access—no matter where you are, we’re there.
  • 7 days a week availability—because artists don’t work 9-to-5.
  • No waiting rooms, no insurance—just text us, and you’re connected to a doctor.

Raising the Bar for New York Artists’ Healthcare

Chappell Roan, Charlie XCX and Noah Kahan all made a $25,000 donation to support artists. Now, we’re going even further—with real care right here in New York.

Artists, we see you. We hear you. And now, we’re making sure you get the care you deserve.

You make my daughter dance and dream big every night.

You always got us.

Now we’ve got you.
