Swipe Right for Chlamydia

July 30, 2018

In NZ, Chlamydia affects around 10% of people from 18-35 years old. Soooo pretty much every 10th swipe on Tinder has it. Yummy!

Chlamydia. Not only is this word incredibly hard to spell, but it's also a tricky little disease. If you have it, you might not know that you have it. Because it's sneaky, like that ex who stalks you on Facebook. The only way to know if you have it is to get tested.

If you've swiped right a few times too often, you'll get symptoms and they go something like this... abnormal bleeding, discharge, abdominal pain, anal pain, throat pain, pain during sex, fever, pain during urination, or the urge to urinate more frequently.

Chlamydia is spread via vaginal, anal or oral sex or it can be spread simply by touching. Chlamydia can affect your fertility big time, it can also make you really sick, ending up with a stay in the hospital.

But the good news is if you are positive, it's easily treated with some antibiotics.

So if you want to make babies one day & not end up with pus coming out of your private bits, get tested regularly. Especially if you are using Tinder, Grindr, Bumble etc, because we all know what you're up to...

Check out our at-home STD test services. Our #Sorted, #NewPartner and #LoveBox packages include tests for Chlamydia.
