STIs don’t have to be Deal Breakers!

June 24, 2018

Look, we all go through a phase in life that involves going out, partying and sampling what the world has to provide. For many including myself, this meant getting smashed, flailing my arms around to electronic dance music, having a good time and sleeping around. It’s ok, it’s normal, but the chances are that if you’re having regular sex with multiple partners, STIs are going to be on the horizon. This may not pose a major concern at first, but what happens when you finally find the right person for you, have you got a contingency plan? And don’t adopt a "she’ll or he’ll be right" attitude to entering a relationship. It never ends well.

A survey conducted in the U.S. and U.K. showed that of 1,700 participants, 44 percent said they would dump someone over an STI. I know this is far from representative of the general population, but it does echo a truth. No one wants a bloody STI, and especially not from someone who they share feelings for. So, if you are heading towards or about to enter a relationship, remember honesty is the best policy.

This doesn’t entail you having to tell your partner every time you’ve had vaginal bacteriosis or chlamydia, but it does involve disclosing your current sexual health status. However, if neither yourself nor your partner has been checked, depending on how liberal and open-minded your partner may be, getting your sexual health in check together may be a bonding experience.

I know that for many of you, proposing the idea of bringing a partner to a sexual health clinic for a dual checkup can not only be embarrassing, but nerve-racking.

So, what we provide you, is a workaround! We call it the #LOVE Box.

#LOVE Box is a product we designed to specifically enable couple’s to test for STIs from the comfort and privacy of their home, covering 5 of the most serious and highly infectious sexually transmitted infections: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and HIV.

Not only does the #LOVE Box provide you with a rapid 20 min result, it also includes an online medical consultation, where you and your partner can discuss any concerns that may arise online with one of our qualified medical professionals.

#LOVE Box also provides cover for prescription treatments should either you or your partner require medication to treat a condition. Treatments are couriered directly to you.

So, let’s kill two birds with one kit!

#LOVE Box.

Did you know that many STI's don't have symptoms? If left untreated they can seriously damage your fertility, health and life.

If you’re unsure what to do or if you’re worried about an STI, we’re here to help with safe and easy tests you can do at home.

Don’t risk your health!
